A range of instantaneous couplings, used for connecting the water hose to the water supply quickly. The instantaneous system is designated by BS 336 and is standard with British fire services for delivery applications. The predominant size is 64mm, the only size recognised by BS 336. The couplings incorporate a double pull release and double ribbed (DR) hose tail. The hose is pushed over the tails and secured by wire or clips.
