Company Profile
Formed in 1973 by the founders Anthony Lutkin and Jim MacLoughlin business focused on reclamation of aluminas and silicon carbides. Today's organisation is a multi disciplined group of businesses focused on delivering value and competence with innovative products, services and solutions.
The business is structured into several operating platforms, please refer to Our Divisions for a detailed overview and then please feel free to review the appropriate micro site as necessary. Additionally links to each of the divisions can be found on toolbar / navigation to the left of this page.
The Mac'Ants Group has continued to expand over the years and currently the business has benefited from associated organic expansion. This has seen the current group involved with the traditional core business of Abrasives & Electrominerals, while moving heavily into Metal Abrasives in the form of Steel Shot & Grit with its recently gained UK Agency for Sigma Abrasives of South Africa. This together with the metal abrasives being complimented by Stainless Steel Shots and Cut Wire Pellets. The Metal Abrasives expansions are furthered with the resale of Hoganas Metals and Powders.
Development of the Plastic Blast Media business continues to see superb trends across the world and we are very proud of the modern facility we have and pleased to be among the world leaders in the sphere, in terms of technology and size.
Associated developments see the Surface Finishing Equipment Division flourish in its capability to offer an ever expanding portfolio of Air Driven Blast Cabinets, Rooms and Systems. While ever depending on the ability to automate and adapt systems to cater for clients ever developing needs.
The Sub Contract Services Division sees the combination of the Groups talents and abilities, by utilising the wealth of media knowledge, coupled together with the in-house Equipment Manufacturing we get he chance to offer surface processing facilities to clients who have a short term capacity issue on an adhoc basis through to clients who wish to contract out process on a more long term basis.
As the Environment continues to play a critical part to all business we see the continued growth and expansion of this intrinsically linked division. Materials in the minerals and now polymer lines can now be reprocessed and/or recycled within the operation. Please contact us for more details.
