M-TEK (Assembly) Wiring & Mechanical Business Unit specialises in the wiring and complete mechanical assemblies of prototypes and medium batch production of flagship products for various industries.

Position Summary
Performs at a senior specialist level, a variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units, developmental or prototype requirements in product development, manufacturing engineering or preproduction operations where documentation and guidance may be limited. Works from schematics, blueprints and oral instructions to construct developmental assemblies, sub-assemblies and components. Uses standard electronic assembly tools and materials. May perform modifications, rework and quality testing. Work typically includes interaction with development and/or manufacturing engineering personnel. Where applicable relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Moderate skill with high level of proficiency. Works under immediate supervision requires exercising some independent judgment. May be required to provide training to new employees in specific areas.

Job Knowledge and Experience:
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to manufacture to an extremely high standard whilst working to tight deadlines
Experienced in soldering to J-STD-001 & IPC-A-610, MIL standards, as well as being highly proficient in prototype wiring, crimping and soldering
Ability to use test equipment needed to perform tasks
Ability to use optical test equipment
Able to read technical drawings, specification and procedures
Computer Literate Working knowledge of MS Office programs, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook
Good working knowledge and application of shop floor mathematics
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble all types Jumpers and cable assemblies
Assembling and Soldering to M-TEK Bespoke standards and procedures
Conducting procedural Good Inward Inspection on production product including incoming material needed to support customer need date
Responsible for understanding and use of all test equipment, test fixtures where required, and procedures
Maintaining security for all quality verification equipment and its calibration control
Notify errors on procedures, drawings, bills of material, and router to the support teams (Quality, Manufacturing Engineering)
Responsible for completing documentation (shop packs) accurate and timely
Responsible for entering data into the Manufacturing system accurate and timely
Responsible for maintaining high quality standards and workmanship
Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company
Maintain a safe working environment
Communicating special tooling needed to perform operation that may have not been identified
Ability to be organized, prompt, professional and efficient with an excellent attention to detail. Ability to assess problems and provide problem solving techniques
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical assembly drawings used in the construction of the company's products.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Demonstrated manual dexterity as it relates to detailed assembly processes
Ability to use hand tools and electronic test equipment such as drills, presses, multimeters, oscilloscopes and sol
