Case study - Irish Independent Park
This ground, originally named Musgrave Park, has been a major base for Irish Rugby football since the 1940s. It was significantly enhanced in 2014 with the erection of a new West Stand containing 3,500 Link seats along with a number of other ground improvements including changing, medical, media and function rooms. This stand hugely improved the facilities and promoted the importance of the ground as part of the development of Irish rugby in the Cork area as well as facilitating the hosting of large-scale concerts enhancing the financial performance of the stadium as a modern multi-purpose municipal stadium.
