Find The Needle Add My Company
Festival Disposables
With the summer finally upon us, the festival season is starting to gather momentum. In this country we are spoilt by the sheer number of festivals available to suit all ages, tastes and budgets. From the smaller, more intimate local festivals promoting local produce to the huge annual music and arts events like Glastonbury and Bestival that can attract tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people. The one thing every festival and every attendee shares, no matter how large or small, is the need to keep everyone fed and watered. We all need something to eat and drink and with that we all need something to eat from and with…unless you’re a complete heathen of course. Whether you'’re a festival virgin or an old-hand at the whole lifestyle, there are some things to bear in mind before heading out. One thing you’ll need to remember is how important disposable cutlery and drinking cups will be. If you’re lucky enough to attend a festival during the 3 days of glorious sunshine the UK tends to enjoy in the summer, then you’ll need to make sure you stay hydrated. Having a water bottle on hand with a stack of disposable cups in your bag will serve two purposes. Firstly you, your friends and family, will always have a clean, cheap and more importantly a very light, supply of cups to hand. Disposable cups are easily stored in your backpack, come in packs of up to 100, and are going to be infinitely cheaper than buying canned or bottled drinks from on-site vendors. Don’t think the only style available is the standard ‘water cooler’ cup. Oh no! Here are Just Catering Supplies we have a range of cups from transparent ones every office knows and loves to party cups, plastic beer ‘glasses’, wine glasses and, for those celebrating something special, some disposable champagne flutes. Everything you need to keep you all hydrated, travelling light and feeling cool. So once you’ve got the drinking part covered, the next most important aspect of festival life is eating. Food, like drink (and like pretty much anything you can buy there) is going to be expensive. Any event where there is a captive audience means that prices are only going to go one way…and it’s not down! The trick is to take as much as you can yourself, so you know what you’re eating. The other benefit of eating food you know about is that what goes in, must come out. We all know the toilets at most festivals are far from ideal. In many cases you’ll smell them before you see them, so being aware of the food going in, may limit the need to risk the living hell that is festival toilets too often. When it comes to food, we’re not talking about taking crates of frozen food or bags of tinned goods, but pre-packaged snacks, fruit or meal-replacement, pre-made shakes might become your new best friend. Of course, we’re not all children of convenience and there’s no reason why we should be. Having your own supply of disposable dinner plates will always add a touch of class to proceedings. We have everything from economy plates to bio-degradable or plastic plates which means you can retain your sense of style and eco-credentials, when it comes to festival meal times. They’re light to carry, easy to dispose of and hygienic. Oh, and there’s cutlery too. We’re not heathens remember! These few simple tips should be enough to make your festival experience go with a bang, or an added touch of glamour if nothing else! We have a great range of everything you might need, in a variety of styles, materials and budget. You can chip in with friends to spread the cost and share the love and who wouldn’t want to do that!
