Wireless LAN (WLAN) according to IEEE 802.11b/g is the standard for the wireless extension of Ethernet. Applications with a serial port or and Ethernet connection may be integrated into an existing WLAN or interconnected among each other very easily and at low costs. The remote station may be any device with access to the same network - e.g. also via Internet. Windows programmes are able to address the remote applications due to the free virtual COM port driver, as if the two devices were directly connected.
i-modules WLAN are complete embedded communication modules for integration in your socket board with a standardised form factor of 56x56 mm, a serial port or Ethernet for data transmission, and a configuration (via AT commands or web interface). They need a power supply of 5 VDC.
