Sr. Strategic Sourcing Negotiator- Chesterfield

The successful Senior Strategic Sourcing Negotiator candidate will play an integral role in the Procurement dept by assisting the Director of Procurement in full spectrum of contracting & sourcing activities. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing all procurement activities for national contracts. Additionally, this position will have overall commodity management responsibility for select commodities or services as well as provide support to regional negotiators with national contracts and the sourcing tool.

Preferred candidates will have a four-year degree with 5 yrs previous experience with procurement and strategic sourcing, preferably in a construction environment with estimating and/or project management experience. Excellent oral/written communication skills, strong analytical skills, the ability to handle multiple activities & deliverables within critical time frames, strong control & follow-up, detail oriented, the ability to interact with all levels of management, a collaborative solution approach and be fully proficient with Microsoft Office is necessary. Previous experience with JD Edwards a plus. ISM certification preferred. Previous experience sourcing resins, capital equipment, MRO supplies, and national contracts is highly desirable. Previous experience using eRFx tools is required. Occasional travel will be required.
