The ideal Developer should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, or, equivalent combination of education and experience and a minimum of five years work experience in Information Systems. Extensive working experience with Visual Basic, Crystal Report, .NET, SQL Server is required. Prior system design and analysis experience including working with end users through an iterative design processes required. Project management skills required. Experience with the design, normalization, and performance tuning of relational databases, and SQL Server preferred. Knowledge of one or more of the following programming languages / products preferred: HTML, Active Server Pages, Access, VisualSource Safe, Microsoft Office, Visual Basic Crystal Reports, WEBI.

Responsibilities will include analysis of user requests to determine feasibility and technical design of delivered specifications, developing project plans, workload estimates and schedules for assigned projects, performing complex systems analysis /design work for new or modified systems being developed by Insituform IT staff and / or consultant delivered systems, as well as programming solutions, often complex, using Microsoft development technologies including .NET, and Microsoft desktop tools, or other development tools. This individual will perform as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA for Microsoft SQL Server databases used within the company, as well as develop complex reports, and complex database queries for new or existing applications. Responsibilities will also include providing application maintenance, preparing and executing test plans for developed or modified systems, along with installing Microsoft SQL Server upgrades, updates, patches, to maintain a trouble free and secure environment.
