Hyfra Test Station

Water chillers have been manufactured by Hyfra Pedia at their headquarters in Krunkel, Germany for 27 years. The company employs in excess of a hundred and forty people on research, development, sales and production of this unique range of water chillers. Quality and management system are in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001: 2000, Continuous investment over the last few years has seen the opening of a state of the art test station in 2007, providing for ten independent test cells with a total capability of 900kW which incorporates facilities for dedicated fluids such as water, oil or emulsions. Each cell can be individually set to a specific heat load to optimise equipment performance. An extension to the offices in 2008 to accommodate new conference room and marketing sales department also enabled the company to restructure the technical department into more space in the original building. Chiller capacities range from 0.5kW to 150kW and can be used for fluid temperatures from minus 10°C to 40°C in ambients up to 55°C. Utilising the coil in tank evaporator system very stable conditions can be achieved although external conditions may fluctuate. Temperatures stability as good as ± 1°C can be achieved as standard or ± 0.1°C with special controls. The later being desirable on some scientific equipment where water with a very low conductivity is sometimes necessary which can also be accommodated with this range of equipment.
