23rd December 2011
First and foremost, we'd like to thank all our customers and suppliers for their support throughout 2011. It's been a busy year and we've seen a number of changes and developments at ECL over the course of the year.
We've welcomed several new team members:
March - George Woodcock joined us as an Apprentice
June - William McCall joined the Assembly Team
June - Thomas Neate joined the Manufacturing Team
August - Kenny Mullen joined the Assembly Team
September - Stephen Blake joined us as our Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Throughout 2011, we've continued our investment in equipment and added the following:
•3 x APS L60 Pick and Place Machines
•1 x Novastar IR Reflow Oven
In March, we implemented a new software system called Progress Plus. This is our Production Control Software which allows us to track, manage and develop every aspect of our manufacturing process. For more information about Progress Plus, visit the Berkeley Myles website.
For several months in 2011, we worked with Innovation Digital to develop our new website. In September, we re-launched www.european-circuits.co.uk and we're delighted with the website. It will continue to be developed and our goal is to provide existing and potential customers with a wealth of information as well as keeping everyone up to date with the news from European Circuits. If you have any suggestions on what we should include on our website, please let us know! We also spent some time in 2011 developing our social networking sites and we can now be found on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Why not follow us - click on the links to visit our social network pages.
Throughout 2011, we've also been working closely with SMAS (Scottish Management Advisory Service) engaging in a lean manufacturing programme.
We've also welcomed a number of new customers with some very interesting projects. We look forward to working with all our customers, new and old, throughout 2012.
So what are our plans for 2012?
Well, we have a few things planned...
We will be installing a mezzanine floor creating another 2,000 square feet in preparation for our planned expansion in the second half of 2012.
We'd also like to increase our sales to top £3,000,000. If we don't currently supply you with boards then our goal is to become your PCB supplier and if we are already your supplier, our goal is continue to provide you with a great service and great quality.
Contact us if we can assist with your requirements. We know you won't be disappointed!
We look forward to working with you in 2012!
