Cytech Beijing was founded in 2002 to bring new and innovative technologies arising from its research to the wireless network market in China. In 2004 the company became aware of the problems facing the hotel industry in providing effective connections for the guests, especially the business users, of hotel wireless networks. The 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing posed a particular challenge. These games had to accommodate extremely large numbers of professional guests including many journalists with demanding deadlines and privacy needs.

• InterContinental Beijing Financial Street features 330 high class and spacious guest rooms and suites, all of which were installed with Cytech technology prior to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This installation fully eliminated any possible problems of weak signals and co-frequency interference that come with conventional Wi-Fi connection. Even with a 100% occupancy rate during the Olympics, all guests enjoyed truly stable wireless broadband with no failures reported during the whole period.

• Situated at the centre of Wangfujing, Grand Hyatt Beijing is at the helm of 5-star hotels in the capital. Prior to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, around 400 of its rooms were equipped with Cytech system which overcame the problems of signals being weakened during penetration of walls. Co-frequency interference that usually comes with ordinary APs was also eliminated. Guests who stayed at the hotel during the Olympics enjoyed a smooth and hassle-free internet experience with sound and stable signal transmission. That gave just another boost to the hotel’s reputation.

Cytech technology has also been successfully implemented in a number of prestige 5-star hotels, including renowned international hotel brands and well-established local development in major China cities.
