I-force Imperative Installation
They had three RORO skips for cardboard, which were being emptied once per week. The skips were emptied for free, but baling led to earning revenue from your cardboard. We approximated that each skip contains 2 tonne of cardboard (as it was flat packed and stacked inside the containers). Therefore they produce 6 tonnes per week on average of cardboard. The CB-65X was recommended for the job as it is the largest of our semi-automatic horizontal range. Due to the type of business Iforce is there are very seasonal with extreme peak seasons and the machine needed to be able to cope with up to 12 tonne of cardboard per week. Iforce were putting all of their plastic in with the general rubbish when their initial site review was carried out which takes up a large amount of space but with minimal weight. At first inspection we estimated approximately 250kg per week. We suggested the Durapac CB-9 for their shrink and pallet wrap. Since the installation they are producing approximately 2.5 bales per week and each bale weighs in the region of 200kg! Plastic is a difficult material is estimate on weight and with each proposal we tend to undervalue and over achieve! General waste was going into three open skips, which were emptied twice per week on average. Three weeks after installing the CB-35 static compactor still hasn’t been emptied! Both the CB-65X and CB-35 are dock loaded making recycling and waste disposal much easier for the employees at Iforce, whereas before they had to move all the waste outside to the yard where the skips were situated. The CB-9 for plastic is situated inside the building in between the two docks that the other machines work from.
