Ambroplastics have been selected as finalists of the Shropshire Business Awards 2010, in the Technology, Enterprise and Innovation category, which is a great achievement as the awards were the most competitive ever held. Ambro recognised that it had to develop unique products and capibilities in order to maintain growth in an otherwise stagnant market.
Managing Director, Tom Teichmann, said "We have used traditional folding and gluing technology (used in the packaging industry for the production of cartons,) and adapted our machinery, processes and tools so that folding and gluing technology can be used for presentation products such as wallets and folders. We have also developed our own machinery for thermal welding on to polypropylene in order to adapt this process to volume production."
