These factory assembled ball valves offer a compact and economic solution for motorised ball valves. They are generally used in installations where maintenance is not required as the connecting pipework would have to be disassembled to remove the 2 piece ball valve from the line.
With only one body seal they have less potential leak points than the more popular 3 piece ball valve, and as they are factory sealed, the torque can not be altered during installation as there are no body tie bolts.
